How do I choose a complementing color to use with a bright yellowy( school bus yellow) to paint inside ?

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

I have this color already in my kitchen. This meets up with an open air design that is visible to the entry way and the living room. I don’t want it to look like a crayon threw up, but I want to use one other bright color for the entry way. Also what more plain color whites, ivory cream will match the yellow. Please suggest colors or websites that may be helpful. Thanks you for your advice.

How to prep already stained and varnished crown molding for painting white?

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

My wife and I are about to buy a house with crown and chair rail in every room. Unfortunately, some of the rooms already have white crown/chair/baseboard, but others have stained wood with a varnish. We’d like to paint the natural colored rooms white to match the rest of the house and to lighten up the rooms. Suggestions on how to prep the crown/chair/baseboards? What type of paint to use?

Thanks!

Is Colorstay Active Light makeup in Buff WAY darker than the Ivory? Also, does this line break you out?

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

I have *extremely* light, but yellow-undertoned skin, and makeup usually drives me crazy b/c their lightest shades are always this ridiculous pink color. I mean, seriously — does anyone even HAVE pink skin?? Anyway, I bought the Ivory in this brand b/c it was the lightest, but (as always) it is pink-undertoned. It appears that the Buff is yellow undertoned, but I’m hesitant to buy it b/c it seems quite a few shades darker. (For reference, I’m so pale I would match the lightest color in L’Oreal’s True Match line, which is damed light… lol. Also, I would wear NC15 in MAC, and am sometimes even a bit lighter than that.)
My skin is oily/acne-prone, so I worry about breakouts too. Any problems w/that?
Thank you in advance! (Oh, and no offense to any pink people out there… =D )
