I’m having trouble trying to decide what color sweater would look best with my dark purpley (plum i suppose) dress… if you have any suggestions please share! Thank you :]

i’d really like to paint my small bedroom’s walls a dark cobalt blue, dark purple, or dark chocolate brown because those are the colors that relax me and i feel they’d make the room more intimate and sophisticated (my furniture/etc. is modern, clean lines, etc.). i’m wondering if these colors will visually recede or if they would make it seem like a tiny cave. what are your opinions? thanks in advance.
